Role Purpose
This position will effectively implement preventive, condition based and breakdown maintenance at the plant for all mechanical machines, equipment and plant facilities for maximum efficiency and reliability.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Preventive and condition-based maintenance of machines as per laid down instructions and procedures to ensure smooth running
2. Trouble shooting of machines faults & failures, prescribing corrective action and reinstating it back to its working condition
3. Logging details of work performed on data records to enable further action, planning for next service and storage as history
4. Identifying the required machines spares for maintenance and timely initiating purchase requisition
5. Training of operators and the other maintenance team members
6. Comply with food safety standards and ensure machines are left in ISO 22000:2005 compliant standard after maintenance.
7. Inspection of machines operations and recording of data such as pressures, temperatures etc. to ascertain smooth operation or service requirements
8. Identify and report all assets misuse-machines, spares, tools, facilitate
9. Machine modification, improvement and innovation to improve efficiency
10. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facilities
11. Participate in SHE, ERM, 6K, PaTaMu, GMP/FSMS initiatives, programs and objectives
12. Offer support and training to AM team members
13. Identify and report all quality and food safety issues during daily operations
14. Any other assigned duties by the supervisor
Skills & Experience
1. BSc Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering plant option or Diploma in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering.
2. Minimum 3 years working experience in maintenance of Industrial Machinery and equipment.
3. A good understanding & knowledge in machines trouble shooting, Autonomous and preventive maintenance
4. Ability to interpret Mechanical engineering drawings.
5. Computer literacy and ability to write and interpret technical reports.
6. Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
8. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
9. Ability to maintain confidential information.
