He is the grandson of screenwriter Inder Raj Anand. He was born on 31 July 1978. He began his career in films as the screenplay co-writer, executive producer, and associate director for the romantic comedy Hum Tum in 2004.
I can tell that when he was 27, he directed Salaam Namaste. The film was one of the biggest hits of 2005 and it helped him establish himself as a director in the Hindi film industry. Siddarth is married to Mamta Bhatia-Anand and they have a son named Ranveer.
