In 2026, KMTC requires all students to pay fees through the e-Citizen platform or designated bank accounts to ensure transparency and instant reconciliation of student records.
1. Fee Structure for Regular Kenyan Students (Diploma)
“Regular” students are those placed via KUCCPS or the KMTC portal who qualify for government subsidies.

2. Specialized & International Student Categories
For students from the East African Community (EAC) and other international backgrounds, the tuition component is higher.

EAC Students (Non-Kenyan): Approximately Ksh 122,200 for the first year and Ksh 118,000 for subsequent years.

In-Service (Upgrading) Students: Fees typically mirror the Foreign/Self-Sponsored rates, averaging Ksh 120,000 – Ksh 150,000 per year depending on the specific module and mode of study (Distance Learning vs. Full-time).
3. Extra Course-Specific Charges (Year 1 Only)
Some departments require additional specialized fees for “Skills Lab” or “Logbooks” which are paid once during the first year:
